Southern Alberta's Flooding Victims

Tucker Hockey is passionate about the sport of hockey! When reflecting on the significant flood impact on so many people in Southern Alberta this past June,  it has deeply moved all of the staff here.

Every year Tucker Hockey is the Event Sponsor of the Kids Hockey Advancement Society’s Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament in support of KidSport Calgary. The Kids Hockey Advancement Society was incorporated for the sole purpose of helping kids achieve their goal of playing organized hockey, and this year we hope to help as many kids as possible get back on the ice this Fall.

We feel it is definitely the most important fundraising endeavor we’ve embarked on! Thousands of Alberta’s kids have been directly impacted, losing equipment, and in some cases their arenas and play grounds. Now, more than ever in the past, KidSport Calgary will be inundated with requests to help Alberta’s families and their children get back into hockey, as well as other sporting activities, and we plan on helping them as much as we are absolutely are able to.

Last year we raised $20,800 for KidSport Calgary and we feel compelled to take our fundraising endeavors to another level due to the extraordinary circumstances this year!

The Society is still seeking additional sponsors and donations for this year’s tournament, scheduled at the Inglewood Golf and Curling Club (which was also greatly affected by the flooding) on Wednesday, September 18th, 2013.

Details about the tournament can be viewed on the Society’s website at: www.kids-hockey.ca. To make a donation or to become a valued sponsor, please contact Christyne Kavanagh at 403 - 998 - 5035.

Let’s make sure all of Alberta’s kids make it on the ice this Fall and have fun playing!!
